A religious shrine
known as Perfume Pagoda is located in Ha Tay province (now
belong to Hanoi), just
100 km far from centre of Hanoi city. This is one of the most popular
places for visitors with a series of pagodas built inside
the grottoes, the shrines are sacred and typical for many
Buddhists all over the world. It is thus not a bad idea for
you to share the experience with many religious pilgrims.

Leave Ha Noi for Ha Tay. It takes you about two hours by
road plus one and a half hours rowing boat along the Yen
(Swallow Bird) stream to get to Perfume Pagoda. Here you can
enjoy the scenic waterway, dotted by romantic range of
mountains. It takes another two hours trekking up to the
Main Cave Pagoda or Huong Tich pagoda or so called the
pagoda of the perfume vestige. Visit Thien Tru pagoda or so
called pagoda leading to Heaven on the way back. Have lunch
in a local restaurant. |

Boat trip back to Ben Duc and then back to Hanoi. Take a
short break at Van Phuc - a traditional handicraft silk
village. |
